Attention, Ladies! See How Easily You Can Buy Superb Valentine's Day Gifts For Less in 5 Minutes

For that special man in your life, Valentine's Day is the perfect opportunity to show how much he means to you. Besides being the most auspicious holiday to celebrate love, friendship and fidelity, nothing says "I love you" more than a well thought of Valentine's Day present that will surely take your romance to a whole new level.

Valentine's Day gifts, however, can be rather costly, often topping over $60 or more for even the simplest card and chocolate combo or perhaps an average flower arrangement. Likewise, being on a tight budget doesn't mean that you have to skip this romantic holiday all together. If your budget is tight this year, here are some helpful tips and pointers you can use individually or mix and match, all for super cheap.

  • You can never go wrong with food. The fastest way to a man's heart is through his stomach and a simple invitation to dinner is a great option to go for. Nonetheless, taking a loved one out to a nice meal on Valentine's Day can be extremely expensive and most restaurants are booked weeks or months in advance for the holiday. Why not invite him to a special dinner for two at your place? Whip up his favorite dishes and desserts (don't forget the scented candles for the table) and you're definitely good to go.
  • Take a peek at his bathroom. Even if he won't admit it, your loved one has a special bond with his bath and grooming accessories. He may use a distinct shaving cream, body spray or deodorant that you could turn into a gift basket with a bit of creativity. Add a bit of aromatic oils and moisturizers in the mix as well to take his customary hygienic ritual up a notch. Join the whole bunch together with a new towel and you're all set.
  • Let him listen to the stuff he wants. While Valentine's Day compliments are out of the question, making a mix CD for your man is a great idea for a gift minus the excessive rates. Take note: going out and buying one from a store can cost you $15 or more a pop. It may be a compilation of his favorite songs or a collection of tunes that you both have shared memories with. Don't just settle for love songs. Have every genre covered to make it as varied and appealing as possible.
  • Skip the card. Greeting cards can cost only a few dollars during regular days but come Valentine's Day? They sure can command a king's ransom. Write a note for your sweetheart instead, using a very atypical piece of writing material like a grocery store receipt, the inside of a cereal box or a Post-It shaped into a heart. Simplicity is beauty and you'll sweep your man off his feet without emptying your bank account.
  • Do something unexpected. Sometimes couples have been together for so long and know each other so well that there are hardly any surprises in the relationship and each other's personalities. Running out of ideas to spice up your romantic affair? Don't start worrying just yet. These hints might just do the trick: Invite your man to go bungee jumping. Spend an evening together just looking at the stars. Accompany him fishing or hunting. Cook a meal together. Shop for the things you two have always wanted online using coupon codes. Now, isn't that quite a handful already?
